Nilfisk introduces new light duty Road Sweeper

The RS 502 replaces the popular RS 501, and is designed for fast and productive cleaning of limited space outdoor areas. Sidewalks, parking lots and loading bays are typical end-user applications. Because of its compact design it is easy to transport between job sites, making the RS 502 an ideal choice also for contract cleaners wishing to offer a full range of cleaning services.

The tight turning radius allows the unit to clean in areas that typically have to be swept manually. Yet despite its compact dimensions, the RS 502 has a large 240-litre polyethylene tank for extended operating use, long life and reliability. It also features a stainless steel hopper, adjustable speed brushes for adapting to varying surface conditions and dirt levels, and hydrostatic transmission that enables speeds up to 20 km/h. The 34 hp engine makes the RS 502 the most powerful sweeper in its class. The unit is fitted with a diagnostic box that monitors the maintenance programme, and indicates any misuse of the machine by the operator.

In upgrading from its predecessor, the RS 502 features a 4-cylinder Kubota engine, a new control panel, MTS, a rear drainage hose and housing for the rear suction hose.The RS 502 represents the fine-tuning of an already successful road sweeper, and ensures that the job of cleaning restricted space outdoor areas can be carried out as efficiently and as cost-effectively as possible.
